S wheel paint touch up

Big Fry

New member
Another newbie question i'm afraid....after some spirited driving at the weekend it would seem I have picked up a small stone chip to the drivers side rear alloy wheel. Not enough to warrant a refurb, but i would like to touch it up.

I have called the OPC but they don't stock any, so my question is has anyone found a paint match for their wheels and where did you get it from?

Thanks in advance

Porsche Paint Code 9A1 "" Sterling Silver Metallic - is supposed to be a very good match. Also, Wurth Wheel Silver (www.wurth.co.uk) has been recommended if you want a spray can. You will need to coat with a clear lacquer to get an original finish. HTH.

Unless they changed the wheel colour for the 997. All the standard silver alloy wheels I have seen for 964, 993, 986, 996, etc, have been the same colour.

I completly sprayed my rear wheel with Wurth paint and I defy anyone to spot the difference. The trick is little paint and lots of coats of lacquer.... As a touch up you will have enough left for at least two wheels to be completely respayed.
