S2 badge position

Hi all,

My 944S 2 badge was in the wrong place, and always annoyed me.

Now it's being re-attached, does anyone have the correct positioning for it? Or, was it just stuck on in roughly the right place and I shouldn't worry too much? [:D]

Does this help Paul?

My old S2 never had any rear end body work that I'm aware of so assume that this is the factory position for the badge, although I have seen many different positions on many different S2's!

I would leave it off. I'm not putting mine back on as hate trying to get the polish out from in between the numbers.

It only takes seconds if you use a soft-bristled, child's toothbrush. Obviously it would be slightly unkind to then ask the child to use it clean their teeth so I suggest getting them a spare, but... you could always double up on usage if funds are tight.

If they've been naughty then I think it's only fair [:D]

if not in correct position sure sign its been rear ended !

You'd think that, but mine definitely hasn't had a rear-end shunt (bearing in mind that it's all stripped and you can clearly see there's no repair).

Cor! That's a proper bit of "Top Gear" logic if ever I heard it. JC would be proud of you! [:D]

All it really means is that someone put the badge on wrong at some point. Perhaps there was a scratch on the rear panel that needed a re-spray, perhaps someone knicked the badge off the back, perhaps someone ran it debadged for a while and then a subsequent owner decided he wanted it badged again... many, many possible explanations one of which is that it might have been rear ended at some point, but it certainly isn't a "sure sign".

Just crawled out from under my ladies Yaris ,( sorting handbrake out ) and was glad to see I caused a smile.
