Hi Jason,

Looks great!

Are you able to send or publish any more pics as I have the same car and colour and was thinking of something like this myself next year.

Also - what did it cost if you dont mind me asking? You can PM me if you dont want to publish for all.

Rgds,

thanks andrew, i cant seem to get more then one pic at a time on, the work i had, it come to £250, rob worked on her all day,a true professional[imho] and someone who loves and takes real pride in his work, a very nice bloke as well, -glean-machine based in west thurrock tel 07932774272,thanks to eldavo up north, i decided for this route of action instead of a £900 blown in job,so saved £650 and now d90s have metal coloor crested centres! hope thats helpful andrew, regards jason p

Not a problem, glad to help! Meant to finish machining the badge panel and bonnet myself on Friday but had the twitch to go for a drive on some fantastic Northumberland roads instead. Looks great and i'm sure it will stay that way with a bit of tlc and the right products.

haha, I just read the report on detailing world and came here to see if it was mentioned - here's the link in case you didn't know:

Its amazing the detail the guys on that site go to - machine polishing the underside of the diffuser for instance. I always love the 50/50 shots, especially on older cars. Although yours was in much better condition than several new cars I see on the site!

Top job, looks amazingly glossy I bet your proud!

I need to do the job to mine at some point.....

hiya alex, andrew and all, thanks mate, didnt think to look on the site, also for andrew if you go to the link alex posted you can see lots of pics, before and after, cheers jason p

Jason from those photos you must be well pleased......amazing result. I am definitely going to lock that in for mine. I gave it a go myself a few weeks ago but no where near that standard as an end result.

How long have you had your S2? I have had mine for about 3 mths so far and love it.....

That is a very good result from a single stage finishing polish! How swirled was the paintwork before? Just wondered how much swirl removal you got from that particular polish.

The polish in question is Meguiars #205, it has unigrit abrasives which can be controlled to offer more or less cut depending on the pressure, pad and speeds used, the detail was an enhancement detail which is to add gloss, clarity and remove any light defects in a single stage, due to the oxidisation that is common on older red cars this proved to be an ideal polish to add back some vital oils.
This was by no means a full correctional detail as this would have involved multiple days and polishing stages.

Thanks for the kind words Jason and glad you are pleased with the results.

That looks a fantastic job - and great VFM - I'd tempted myself if I owned a red one [:D]
