Hi everyone.

I have been offered a set of the plastic trims that go below the sills of an S2, but the guy who has them isnt sure if they will fit on my 1987 'S' model.

Can someone please tell me if the trim will or wont fit my car

Thanks

Jamie

They might fit but there are brackets fixed or welded to the underside of the car to receive them so these won't be there on your car.

I think they are on all post 1987 cars, I noticed when mine was on a four post lift that the pegs were indeed there on the inside of the sills.

Yep, they're on my car too.
Regarding the skirts, I heard reports about them being real dirt collectors and that cars with them are more likely to have corrosion problems despite their younger age, don't know if this is true (makes sense on cars that aren't washed as thoroughly as others), but it put me off considering them for the time being.
Best regards,
Peter.

Funnily enough my S2's sills started to show signs of tinworm on the rearmost mounting lugs for these skirts long before anywhere else...

thanks for the info guys, so if my car doesnt have the mounting points i take it they are easy enough made up and welded into place.

The flare of the front wings is no different on an S2 to an S? Because this could make it impossible to fit the skirts too.

Im not worried about the dirt collectors as the car is kept in a good condition and im getting my sills done as we speak so they will be mint too.
