S2 Sill Finishers and Stone Guard Adhesive Patches

Hello all,

Can anyone point me to the best source for the clear stone guard adhesive patches for a 944? I'm sure I saw them advertised on one of the more well known parts stockists but can't find them anywhere, and how much should I expect to pay?

Also, my S2 is having it's sills and arches sorted (hence the need to replace the stone guards) and I was wondering if I could get the replacement black sill trims from anywhere (Porsche maybe?) and if anyone else has replaced them. Might just leave them off.

Thanks,

Justin.

Have you found a local bodyshop to do this or did you contact RPM for their man? Im still waiting to do my sills with the great weather we are having Im reluctant to be without the car for a while.

Thanks Graeme.

Andy - I'm taking the car to Dave Mak at Daytona Coachworx http://www.daytonacoachworx.co.uk/
Dave is a regular on the TIPEC forum and has done some nice work to many Porsches. I visited him in Stevenage a couple of weeks ago and have the car booked in for the work starting Saturday, which comprises fairly extensive sill and wheelarch repairs. They weren't the cheapest but I think I'll get a top job, and they were more thorough in their evaluation of the car, I felt. You get what you pay for, after all.

Hi Justin,

I'd be very interested in a running report of how you get on. Partly for the record, but also as I need the same work....[&:]

I would be intrested in any recommended protection for the front end of my rear arches as I have noticed small chips starting to appear....need to deal with the problem before it grows!
