Hello,
I can't remember if I have already posted this question so my apologies if I have.
The transmission on my S2 seems to develop "bearing noises", mostly coming fom the rear and can be heard at low revs below 1800 rpm.
The clutch is original (84,000 miles) and there is the famous bearing noise disappearing when disengaging the clutch at idle - throw out bearing on its way out, I guess.
Also could these "bearing noises" be only the TO bearing noise resonating in the rear bellhousing of the torque tube or/and be gearbox bearings needing replacement ?
Thanks in advance for any thought.
