s2 tyre pressures,confused!

hiya all, noticed inside my petrol cap door that the tyre pressures on my s2 should be 36psi for the fronts and 44psi for the rears, is this correct? as my handbook states 36psi all round , as i believe its either 34psi or 36psi, can anyone clarify this? cheers jason

Different reccommendations in different handbooks. Id avoid thre higher pressures if I were you, and try 36psi/36psi: see how you go and then maybe try 34psi/34psi too. Some books suggest 29psi front and 36psi rear too, but this will probably make you a little oversteery on modern tyres.

I'd start with 36PSi all round and go from there. Some run a little less at the front (34PSi) which is meant to give a slight bias towards oversteer.

This is the second thread in a week about tyre pressures! Maybe a sticky should be made to clear up the confusion, but then I guess pressures can be a subjective thing.

I was adviced to run 30psi hot all round, but that is for track use...so I'm guessing a few more pounds for road use should do the trick. That's what I'm doing anyway - 32/33psi cold pressure all round.

Indeed perhaps a note about how to use the search facility [:D][:D]

but yes general consensus is 34/34
