S2 Wiper problems

There's always something..........

Suddenly, the wipers won't park, or do so extremely slowly & then give up half way. The intermittent wipe function simply doesn't, and wash/wipe function is now only wash. Fortunately the normal 3 speed wipe seems to work ok so it's still driveable, although it's back to the 50's in switching them off when they're in the right place.

Has anyone had this? Any pointers to:

1) Intermittent wipe relay, & how to test when I don't have a spare?
2) Column switch?
3) Wiper motor?

Or any combination of the above...........
 
I would think the relay would be the first place to look.

Whereabouts are you? Someone nearby may offer a quick swap to check it out [:)]
 
I'd agree on the relay because I get exactly the same performance when I pulled the relay out a while back.
 
I'm in darkest Surrey, between Dorking and Guildford. Hopefully, hopefully it is the relay, although I do have a nagging doubt. And two "hopefullys" as I've heard that getting at the motor is a nightmare.
