S2 without a sunroof, unusual?

I've seen an s2 for sale which doesn't have a sunroof. Was there a factory option to delete it, the vast majority seem to have one.

If its the car on Pistonheads, then it does have air con, but the owner is useless at replying to e-mails.

hey Rav - I know of a very cheap turbo for sale - an early car with a 250 motor & brakes. Needs a new clutch

It's not the smartest car out there, but probably better than most at the bottom end of the market & might be worth a punt. On ebay at the moment.

From the factory viewpoint, sunroof was always an optional equipment, regardless of the type of 944.

That said, and for example, the French importer decided that all 1991 S2 they would order from Porsche would be fitted with LSD, which is an optional equipment from the factory.

The UK importer might well have specified some configurations exclusive to his market, but I don't think the sunroof was an equipment subjected to that case, and if this car doesn't have sunroof that may just be because the owner chose not to tick the sunroof case on the order sheet.

I have a 1990 price list and a sunroof was an option on both the S2 and turbo at a cost of £1,030.31.

Cheaper than I thought. I was of the opinion that an electric sunroof cost around £2,000 in 1985...

when my brother went to order a brand new S2 he was told that all S2's had sunroofs as an option that you couldnt delete.
