Sad Interior

I'm looking for someone to retrim my 1986 944 Lux as the interior is looking a little beaten. Can anyone recommend a trim specialist who can replace my carpets and retrim the seats (probably in leather). Also, any idea of cost?! Preferably in the South East.

Southbound are generally considered the best. You're looking at £300 each per seat cover in leather to fit yourself, plus £100 each if you want to replace the foam bases (all plus dreaded). Perversely cloth costs more, the reason being that there is a finite supply of original cloth but leather that is indistiguishable from OEM can be remanufactured easily.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Carpet won't be cheap either.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

nick,

are your seats definitely in need of being recovered? You might find that re-connollising will do the trick, it can be done for under £100 per seat.

i've had a good recommendation for a Benchmark in essex

Depending on how particular you are - get a carpet off ebay and fit it yourself. Seats come out easily enough and rather than take the centre console out, loosen it and put a slit in the new carpet and slide it in. No one will no the difference. Done my old 924 in one afternoon and cost me a tenner.

Nick, do you want two front seat only, in what colour leather if so i can get them done for you !! for less
