Sad news...

I have just received the sad news from Caroline that Peter Fieldhouse died recently after a diagnosed illness.

Peter was a regular, enthusiastic Club and region member of R10 up until around the time of his diagnosis - more recently he had attended and made other new friends at R24 meetings as well.
He was a friendly, down-to-earth man, member of several car clubs, etc, with an experienced involvement in motorsport in its many forms and will be very missed, particularly for the generous support he gave to our region while he was with us. His shining red 997 C2S was his pride, along with his other fine cars... I'm sure many regular R10'ers will remember his enlighteningly amusing car stories, drawn from many a personal experience.

Our thoughts are very much with Caroline and all the family at this sad time.

Hi Paul

Thank you for letting us know this sad news.

Please pass on to Peter's family the condolences from the board of directors and staff.

Sad news indeed. Although Peter and I never met I did correspond with him via e mail on a regular basis when he moved to the Cambridge area and I understand that he made many friends at the meeting he attended earlier this year at the Ferryboat.

I will be writing to Peters wife passing on the condolences of the Club and Region.

Oh; very sad to hear that news Paul, especially since he was in such good spirits at last month's R24 meeting.

Please pass on our sincere condolences to his wife and family.

Jeff

What sad news.
Words cannot express our sorrow on receiving this news.
Our deepest sympathy to Caroline and all the family.

Andy & Marian Willis.

Thanks for your thoughts, everyone.
I now have details of Peter's funeral which I can pass on to interested parties if you contact me personally.
I hope to able to attend his funeral on behalf of the Club and myself, of course.
