Safe plate and Flying Porsche GT1...

I bought the Camera-Shy "reflective" plates, and got a ticket from a scamera. IMO all this stuff is total cr*p.

Interesting video - I wonder what happened there?

Exactly the same as happened to the Mercedes at Le Mans that same year. They were following another car closely over a rise (bump) in the track, underbody aerodynamics compromised, flying display....

Porsche did it this the once at Road Atlanta, Mercedes did it 4 times at Le Mans. 1st time in Pre-qualifying, the 2'nd and third times with Mark Webber at the Mulsanne "hump" (in qualifying and warm up), and finally with Peter Dumbreck in the race.

I had a plate on my bike it worked well you could take a photo with the flash on and you could not see the plate at all i ordered the plates over the net with the stuff already on i got some spray of ebay and put it on my car but it was s--t i can not find the site that did my bike plates but if i do i will post it

Very interesting. The plate, that is.
As i thought the spray is a very good way of selling "hair spray" for 25 quid a tin! Nice work if you can get it.

This is what mine looked like with a flash photo. It obviously didn't work with a speed camera either, as I have the 3 points to prove it.

Perhaps the clever surface only hides their postcode[&:]. (It's now illegal to fit plates that don't include the plate manufacturer's postcode - as well as using the specified spacing and font sizes etc). Although I don't see how anyone proves that you did not fit them before the law became active.

Richard, I wonder if they used the wrong letters on your back number plate? If you flash photo the front plate do you see yellow letters?
