Apparently although the driver was dragged out unconscious both occupants were unharmed!

As a building surveyor, I' m quite intersted in the construction going on all around it, a very smart breakers yard if I do so so myself - and I' ve seen a few in my time, god bless them when I had a MkII escort all those years ago!

See! I knew they could get a full size wheel in the front instead of the space saver. There just trying to cut corners.[:D]

Perhaps the hardtop had something to do with them surviving....I' d hate to have been in a roll like that with the soft or no top - you' d probably end up with " no top" .

The hardtop is made of aluminium. It' s the windscreen surround and the rollover hoops that protect the occupants. I would imagine that it was ripped off the first time it hit the deck.

I' d still rather have a roof over my head in a roll. I rolled a Manta during a rally a few years ago and still collected a face full of crud when the screen popped, without a roof I' d have had my head grated - the hair has still gone but slowly[;)]. Anyway lets hope it never happens in the Porker!!
