Can someone confirm these are adaptive sports seats. Also what do they costs new and are they much better than the regular seats i have in my c2s...

Its circa £1300 for the pair and im guessing fitting by an OPC will be easy

Douglas Valley Motors, the epitome of professionalism, fair prices and swamped with happy return customers, incredible business model!
Buyer beware.

I had adaptive sports seats in my last car and they are all electric with a multi function adjuster on the side of the seat. Your picture shows a manual adjuster so I think they are just sports seats not adaptive sports seats

What i want is the hard backed adaptive seats, alumimum gear knob with matching handbrake cover, thicker steering wheel and turbo wheels with tyres. If the wife ever saw the credit card recipet for that lot id be dead!

Lol, why doesn't that surprise me?

David, I haven't personally but do a search on Pistonheads, so many negative things said about them I wouldn't go near.

Tks for the heads up Rodney. Funny when i called them today the conversation was all a bit vague so i didnt pull the trigger.
I"ve spent the last week wek going backwards and forwards with Porsche OPC"s trying to get prices on items only to wait for days then amazed how they can attempt to charge so much for items and think u will go ahead and order a new gear lever for £600 hence looking at breakers. The upshot is that im going round in circles AAARRRGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of comments tend to say they are not value for money, but I guess its supply and demand..
I agree with Bob that those are sports seats- which will have the hard back,
I would not call them adaptive sports seats as they are electric and expensive.... so buyer beware that you only pay the value for sports seats.... and that none of the airbags have fired...
There were plenty of Turbo wheels for sale in the club forums 'for sale' section not so long ago,

garyw

Cheers Gary ill take a look. I hadnt actually spotted the turbo wheels in the members section a while back but im very interested tks.
Value for money aftermarket parts certainly are not but they are very tempting

Just to confirm what others have already said - I have adaptive sport seats in my C2S and those shown in the picture are not.

ok tks ill have to keep my eyes peeled for a set. Ordering from an OPC is frankly too expensive and not money id recoup if i sold the car i dont recon

you are right david-they ARE expensive....but you know what they say about getting what you pay for!!
good luck with the hunt[:D]

As posted earlier definitely not adaptive seats but the earlier 'sport seats'. I recall that Porsche discontinued these early on for the newer 'adaptive' (More expensive) version.

I always play by the rules of u get what u pay for but adding 6k worth of extras without wheels on a car that is worth prob 35k best case now aint worth it

David

You are absolutely correct - you won't get your money back on resale. That is true for almost any modification. So the questions you should ask yourself is, "Will i get my money's worth out of the modification before I sell the car", if the answer is Yes, and you can afford it, go for it.

Mind you I had the same interest - we had adaptive on the order and last minute the financial controller said she didn't like the large wings on them, so we dropped them. Bad decisions. Last year I looked at getting adaptive sports seats but looking at the cost took the view I wouldn't get my monies worth out of them before I sold the car, so spent the cash on performance upgrades instead.

I kept an eye out for second hand seats but even then they are £2 -3 k to buy. So I took the view of either keep the standard seats or get bucket type sports seats which were much cheaper to buy and fit. Being a large well built sort I discovered that the buckets aren't really for any one wider than a pencil or over 5ft 8 in, especially not if you have to commute in your car. So I stuck with the standard seats and promised myself that the next car will have the adaptive sports seats.

Well ive emailed a company in the U.S to see what they can offer for a deal on the XPA steering wheel and the upgraded gear knob and handbrake lever. If they can offer a decent enough deal for me and my mate then we may go for it. The seats i get the impression are a total no go. Far too expensive.
The other internal modifications id enjoy enough over the next two yrs and at a cost of sub 2k i wont regret it.
Not forgetting of course there is more chance of hiding this from H.I.D [&:]

I have a set of genuine 997 Turbo wheels for sale. They are in the members for sale section bottom of page 3. I can send you pictures if you let me have your E Mail address

Modifications that H.I.D can see are impossible hide .... You would be better spending your money on performance mods that she cannot see [;)]

How do you think I got away with mine:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I know someone who had the x51 conversion (Powerkit) and told their respective H.I.D that the garage had "changed the filter" to explain the extra performance[8D]
