Sand Beige

Personally I love it (and owned a car with it), especially in a basalt car.
Many don't.
It's a world class high performance car that most people dream of and never own. You've probably worked hard to get yourself in a position where you can afford it. Where does the word "beige" fit in that image.
Black leather, accept nothing else.

Go on Spizz, be a lemming, you know it makes sense....silver/black and blue!

...and now you have gone and hurt my feelings.

its got to be to your own taste - however this is the joy of buying form new when you have a wider choice of exactly what goes with what. Second hand I guess you are more constrained by whats available and how long you are prepaired to wait to find someone with the same taste as you selling their second hand Porsche
I have Basalt Black with Sand Biege - IMHO its a fab colour scheme - I have always thought that going for black interior makes your car more "just like any other car on the road as they are all black inside" and as its where I spend most of the time I enjoy my car, I wanted something different/special.
I wanted to be reminded I was in a diffrent car from all the euroboxes around me. Having said that Porsche do nice black interiors as their is a fair bit of silver plastic to break it up.
Go see the car in the metal and go sit in the interior - only then can you decide if its for you. Looking through the window doesn't help as they are tinted and distort the acual colour quite badly.
I played with the car configurator a while back and for badness sake did Artic silver and Sand biege and thought yuk - I then saw one in the show room, it was stunning!

Bit old school that remark.... []
But I agree if you are having to think about it....

Spizz, if you're having to convince yourself, then maybe sand isn't for you.
Also, if you are having to question your possible purchase this much already, hope you don't have to prepare yourself for some serious buyer's remorse!!

One downside is that you can get reflection on the windscreen on sunny days. Some people hate it but so far it has not bothered me much. I would suggest if possible that you drive one on a sunny day though to check!

My C2S is Sand Beige as well. Kept to the round steering wheel through instead of the M/F to help diffreentiate the interior a bit more from my previous boxster.
Nice to see some other aventurous souls out there going for non black interiors (I had Aric Silver/Boxster Red on my 986 and Seal grey/Terracotta on my 987)
Spizz - Metor grey and Sand biege would be stunning [][][]

I love looking into a black car and seeing sand seats, it's a great contrast. If I were buying new I would go for the "dual" sand + black dash top and steering wheel combination with alloy handbrake and gear lever.

I agree with that David. Each to their own, but the full sand is too much for me. The dual could look quite good I suspect.

Having said that I'm now thinking of changing it for a black on black Cab and I think that even though it's a common combo it still looks great, and a bit less plasticky than my Teracotta interior (much as I still love it).
Let's face it I think they are all fab.
