wing mirror
the passenger wing mirror is the type that tilts down when you put into reverse.
mine seems to have a mind of its own.
when you unlock the car on key fob mirror tilts down even before you select reverse.
when you start engine and select reverse sometimes goes down sometimes not then when you shift to drive sometimes comes back up sometimes not i either have to do it with the knob on door mor i have just pressed memory pos 1 and it goes to my personal setting.
can anybody advize on this one please.
I know these are only minor problems but really anoying
best regards mick

Map Disk - It really depends exactly when your car was built as to which version of PCM you have. If it was prior to September 2002 then you have PCM1, and the Vauxhall/Opel map disks will work. Best contact is Gil Keane at Quicksilver Automotive in Birmingham (0121 773 7000). If it is after September, then you need the Porsche maps.

Mirror memory - Just a thought - The keys are matched to the seat and mirror memory. Have you set the memory to the particular key you are using? If memory no 1 is set to key no 1, and you are using key no 2, then each time you unlock the car it will revert to memory no 2. Pressing the memory 1 button will then move the settings to memory 1. It might be that the seat position settings have benn set the same for both keys, but the mirror positions are different. A good read of the handbook might shed some light.

thanks richard car at paintshop at the mo but will try the key / memory buttons but dont think this is problem as it doesnt work propperly when you are driving the car sometimes goes down when you reverse and does not return when you select drive any more ideas could it be faulty memory box or dodgy switch some where
best regards mick

The obvious thing to check would be that the reversing lights work correctly and consistently. Also check the connections on the control module. It is attached to the bottom of the driver's seat, and the wires might have snagged somewhere.
