Sat Nav PCM unit - link phone contacts?

Hi there

I have a Boxster S 981 which has Sat Nav PCM unit and the telephone bluetooth module. My iPhone is paired with the PCM bluetooth unit.

I can access my iPhone contacts on the PCM phone menu. The phone function works very well (other than I have to press through a few too many times to actually call a number).

If I want to put an address which is on my iPhone as a destination on the Sat Nav, I have to manually look up the address on my iPhone, then manually enter it into the Sat Nav. That's cumbersome. Is there a way for the Sat Nav to have access to the addresses on my iPhone contacts so that I can use these addresses straight from the Sat Nav? I haven't found a way to do that but it would be dead useful.

Thanks

Elliot

I too have a 981 with a telephone module but am disappointed with the facilities it offers. As you say it would be nice if addresses of contacts on my iPhone could be inputed to the sat nav.

I've also failed to copy across e-mails and text messages from the phone to the PCM, the manual admits this is not possible for all phones but given iPhones are so popular this would be a serious failing if this is the case.

Basically paying extra for the telephone module rather than just having telephone preparation is a waste of money.
