Guys,

I have the original Sat Nav PCM software for my 06 997 and I'd really like to update the software but I nearly fell off my chair today when my local OPC told me how much...

I'd really like the updates but am worried about scams on ebay etc. Any wise advice?

Regards

Jason

same question.. [link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=703961&mpage=1&key=satnav%2Cupdate]http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=703961&mpage=1&key=satnav%2Cupdate[/link]

Thanks Gary. Seems like the SatNavi ones offers a good solution but note the files are dated 2008. My local OPC said a new update is due in 6 months.

And I'm pretty sure that the other guys discs would be updated shortly afterwards...[;)] - possibly

Don't be scared of ebay. I now have a 2011/12 updated map for my 997. Can link you with my supplier if you wish. After all, what do you have to lose. P*ss poor mapping? In all honesty the PCM system is my last resort, handy to have but hardly used when I can get Google to do the work instead.

Now if only we could do a simple DAB radio upgrade that doesn't look like something cheap from Halfarts !

Following Jason's enquiry does anyone know about updating a Gen 2 car, mine is 2009. I understand that the map data is on a hard disk but have been quoted between £500 and £600 from 2 centres for an update. Thanks Brian
