sat nav upgrades ?

Howdy all.
I am guessing that this will be a bit of a longshot, however.
I have the sat nav in the cayenne with all the European discs etc. my problem is that living in Ireland the sat nav is 'about as useful as a lighthouse in a bog'.. if you live in Dublin, Cork or anywhere north of the border you are fine.
However anywhere and i do not exagerate in between is is apsolutely useless. Even major routes are not on the mapping system ie, N9 , Dublin to Waterford.
Now I fully understand that Ireland is not exactly what you might call its biggest market, but Ive been in an x5 over the weekend and the sat nav in it is superb, i purposly went down every back road i could find .and yep... there i was .on the map..

Anyway my points are
1. If you are comming over on holidays....bring a map.
2. Am i very much mistaken, have i the wrong discs, AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET ADDITIONAL DISCS, UPGRADES.

yours,,,, etc.
MARK BANNON, ... lost somewhere in ireland on the N9.

I experienced similar problem with French maps on 997. However zooming in whilst using map mode displayed all detail!!? Then going back to destination entry, all villages and roads now available, don't ask.
Give it a try, you have nothing to lose, good luck

Nope, ...................... no difference however i believe the maps have been updated this year.
Thanks for the thought Geoff

Sorry for slow response, forgot about you.
My system definately shows the N9. My dvd is dated 10/2004. If I had a dvd writer I would send you a copy, but alas.
