Who's going down to Alan Jeffries on Saturday? I have to work so couldn't book in advance[:mad:] I hope to get down there by about 3pm.If it's possible I'm up for putting the old girl on the rollers- she's been on them before when Crispin put the SSI heat exchangers on.I was there for the "Before" run but have never heard what she sounds like at full chat with the new exhaust!.
 
Steve - there should be a few of us there and I can't see there being a problem getting your car on the rollers. See you tomorrow. Alex
 
Excellent! I tnink I've been there before(a mate with a chipped Uno Turbo) but I'll just do a quick check for the address.
 
And an excellent day was had by all.Very educational.I had thought about fitting a new set of injectors as I don't know how many miles they have done but with a perfectly flat Lambda line indicting combustion is OK across the rev range and 16 hp more than stock I don't think I'll bother[:)]

Yes - great afternoon, the sound of the GT3RS on full chat @ 370bhp, and our 914/6 giving 168bhp with 10 more to come![8D]

Anyone got the figure for Alan's PDK 997?[&:]

My car is clearly far too clever anything so banal as a rolling road! A bit worrying that it thought the ABS, PSM and the PDK([:eek:]) had failed just because the rear wheels were turning and the front ones not - and with the PSM turned off! Rather pleased they knew how to reset it though!
PS It would have been 385bhp anyway! [;)]
 
Excellent afternoon. Good to see such a wide spread of cars.

Still think those 4 wheel drive jobies should have a simple lever like they do on a Landrover !!!

Seriously though,it was a great afternoon.Shame Royal Mail prevented me getting to AJ's in time to hear the GT3RS on the rollers.Though I can console myself with the memory of driving Johnno's M3 round the Nurburgring while 3 of them passed us at warp speed in "Competitive Convoy"

Must have a look at my Smellpecker! I wondered if I put Braun when it should have been Brawn and also I always get McLaren F1 muddled up with Maclaren prams and pushchairs though with the way F1 drivers behave sometimes maybe it is more appropriate!
 
Sadly I missed the first few cars due to work.Hopefully our glorious leaders were taking notes for the magazine and will report back in due course.We will have do do it again sometime.There is a certain ex committee member with a recently purchased 964 Cab with cat bypass pipe that is just begging to go on the rollers[:D]
