Savannah panel replacement/purchase

Could anyone help me please. I need to replace my savannah panel beneath the rear screen. The problem is my car is a 98 C2 and the PET i looked at is 2005. I have contacted this company on ebay but seller said the panel is from a 2000 model stating its 'late textured vinyl' and not leather. He also stated that my 98 would have a sort of football type finish whereas the later model is more like a wavy texture. Im confused. Can anyone tell me whether this would be a match or am i better to stay clear. If not right, could someone point me in the right direction. I have my original panel, its just that the leather surface peeled off on one corner and therefore needs replacing.

I think the seller is correct, in that the PET lists 3 Savannah panels:

Up to 99 in Leatherette - 996.555.081.02.S18
00 and on in Leatherette - 996.555.081.02.S32
All years in Leather: - 996.555.081.03.S31

Presumably the texture is the difference between the S18 and S32 part.

Have you tried a breaker like Porsch-Apart? A new leather one is a whopping £366.04 inc VAT. A mere £299.99 in leatherette!
