Say hello to Louis or should that be Louise?

So gang . . .which do you think it should be?

Well I've taken the plunge with my first 944 . . . . . slightly frayed at the edges (like its owner) but not bad overall.
First priority job is the belts, only done 25k miles ago but rather too long in time.
After that its all the usual suspects, hatch seal, sunroof etc.
Drives nicely, much more civilised than a 924 and you have to go faster to get a sense of speed [;)]

Has 215/60-15 on the rear and 205/60-15 on the front - is this a recognised tyre combination?

Not sure about the tyres mate only used to turbo tyres. Well done she looks a smasher. I hope you will enjoy her. I will have to drive one of them 924s one day.

Luigi? [&:]

Looks in good nick from the picture, you've read enough here to know the belts are a priority.

I can't remember the tyres I had on my lux, but they were the same all round. Can't see why 10mm extra at the back would be a problem.

Cheers guys

Somebody told me that smaller on the front made it more driveable than 215s all round?

Today I managed to talk to the PO from 1997 and he reckons it was a good car and had no probs. unlike his 924 where the wheel fell off while approaching a roundabout [>:]

Cheers Andy - been following your progress but you beat me to it. Mine needed the PO to get an MOT which cost a fortune which should be fewer jobs for me? hopefully . . .

Vince,
Ferdinand had a daughter called Louise, she had one of the best business track records of the family, and I think was sponsor to the first 917 victory at LeMans.
Good luck with her!

I'd forgotten about her - sound like a reasonable enough reason to me to call her Louise. . .although 944s don't seem very feminine?

Colours can be misleading on the P.C , is she Zermatt ? I hope so

Certainly is . . . reliably informed its faster than GR or even Malaga [;)] also closer to the colour all Porsches used to be before they tried competing with Ferrari [&:]

Me like [:)]

I hope she wasn't covered in mud up the sides after you drove off from that photo location.

Dirty Louise [;)]
