SC exhaust onto a 3.2 Carrera?

Are you talking about the whole system or just the exhaust box? This question has been asked on many forums and I haven't seen a positive answer to it . If you just want to replace the rear silencer use a 3.2 one unless you have the time, skills and a spare to test the swap over out.

Richard...didn't think this was the case, as I also intend to do the same....

I have been told there is another pipe which travels across the rear of the car on a 3.2 that gets in the way of a box from an sc.....I have been told that the remedy is to cut off the flange from the original 3.2 box and add it to the sc box you are trying to fit...(therefore fitting 2 gaskets to do so) and this then clears the obstruction.

Sheep911...what make of twin outlet box are you trying to fit?? Is it Dansk?
I've been told its rather noisy, but as yet haven't had the pleasure of checking it out!!

This is not a project for winter for me (I have enough of those) ...but one for the spring!!

Merry Xmas to all!

You may be right on the detail, but it can certainly be done by any competent muffler shop.

Nick,

Let me know if you have gone for the swop, as Richard says any competent exhaust shop should be able to sort it out for you, but you will need the 2 gaskets, also if you then find the twin exhaust too noisy for road use, you have destroyed your original box

Then again at this point you have also cut another hole on the right side of the rear valance...so I guess you would have to live with it.

From where I am coming from, I would love to make the conversion, but really want to hear/ride in a car already converted, before I jump in!

Happy New Year to all!!
