Does anyone have a good condition standard SC steering wheel for sale? A friend of mine is after one if anyone can help.

Cheers

Ian

hi ian, i had to buy one a couple of months ago and looked hard and long, not easy to find.it is the same wheel as a 1984 3.2. make sure that if you find one that it is not broken at one of the spokes, they often go at this point. i had a reply from a couple of members on this forum to look on ebay.
expect to pay about £150.00 ish.

good look

Planning to replace mine soon - make me an offer and if it' s enough or close to the price of a replacement, done deal. I prefer the look of the later wheels or one of the non-o.e. styles. I like the fact that the cabin is slightly eccentric, but for me the standard wheel just does not look right in this sort of car.

I bought one at an autojumble for £30 about 5 years ago.It was cheap because the leather was scruffy.I then bought a retrim kit from Type 911 and had it recovered by an upholstorer total cost about the same as an excellent second hand one.I would have recovered my own wheel but the plastic trim around the spokes was cracked.
The factory used this design of wheel without any fancy trim peices on the 934 and 935 so I like the fact that my wheel has a racing pedigree and don' t want to update it!
