SC widebody

Not to my knowledge, although you might know that the post 81 'sport' model has the Turbo spoiler.

were any widebody

to the best of my knowledge the first wide body cars without the turbo engines were the Super Sports or sometime called
the Turbo look or SSE. The cars started production in 1984.

Mark is referring to SCs in general production not race and rally cars, such cars are of great interest especially to folks like you and I Peter - however there were no SC wide body 'turbolook' cars made as special edition 'production' models, the wide body rally cars all required FIA competion papers and homologation, the few cars produced as 911SCRS and sold as 'production' cars required to make up the homologation numbers were all narrow bodied cars too.

Yes there were !!!

Cor that looks nice, I think I will buy one er dem - then you can follow (don't forget I now have a Kim Kim) me round on the PEYT and I bet you wouldn't want to drop your hood down!

Thanks for the replies guys.

The reason I ask is that I am hoping to go and take a look at this at the weekend and I hear it's being passed off as a factory original body kit. http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-20HrCwU5-1059.html

It looks more like at 930 Turbo LE (same as SE slantnose but without the slantnose!) copy bodykit to me. I guess the best thing to do it get the chassis number and ask Porsche for options list - anyone know how to go about this?

The interior doesn;t look very original either! But I'm looking for an SC as a base for early 911 replica so the Fuchs are a plus point.

erm...

thanks again guys for your replies.

i managed to sneak outta office this afternoon and take a look... i think i'll be steering clear of this one - even as a base for a project car it scares me! there is so much not right with this one that i'll have to keep looking!
