Scale models?

Anyone know where I can get a largish scale model 928? As detailed as possible? I can't seem to find any other than matchbox type cars so far!

Hi Llew :)

Usually lots of later cars in bigger scale on Ebay...just search for "Porsche 928" ...without the quotes...

That Autoart thing about preordering has been there for 2 years to my knowledge and no car yet....

All the best Brett :)

Minichamps are a fantastic German model maker, who produce 1:43 scale - around 10cm long - versions of the 928 S4 in a brown metallic and Guards Red. They retail at £20, and should be fairly easy to come by on eBay, or other model sales sites.

Autoart should be releasing later this year the 1:18 model of the early 928, as I've seen pictures of the pre-production models taken at a recent toyfair. They're also planning on making a 1:43 version of the same car.

1:24 is a scale between 1:43 and 1:18, and there are very few models produced in this scale. Motormax produce a 1:24 928 S4 in either red, black or silver. However, these models are not collector quality; the castings are a bit rough, and the mirrors are basic unpainted plastic affairs. But they do retail at about £10.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice guys! I am looking for a 1/18 scale (or as large as poss) with the most detail possible basically. I have quite a few 928s that I have picked up from car boots and stuff but I wanted a really good quailty one ideally! I hope the autoart one comes out soon :)
