All - As you may have seen on the TV a Red Arrow plane crashed on Sat 20th with the tragic loss of the pilot.

For those that were due to attend the families day on Monday the 22nd the event has been cancelled.
Please view your e mails for the notification from the base.

I shall still arrange to give the cheque donation at a later date.

This is a very sad time for the Red Arrows and RAF Scampton. As a former team member, I have been in touch with many former and current team members; who are all feeling the pain for the family and friends of John Egging. I will try to re-arrange something for the future with my contacts, but for this year the team will not be able to replace Red 4 and will continue as an 8 man team. I am sorry for all of you who were looking forward to this prestige event but I know that you understand.

We were really looking forward to attending tomorrow. I understand the reason for the cancellation and we would like to extend our sympathy to the friends and family of Jon Egging, and our best wishes at this difficult time. I hope the event can carry on for next year with some appropriate tribute. Mike & Lisa

Tom and I would like to reiterate Mike and Lisa's comments. A very sad time for the base Kerry
