Schhhhmo-king!

Not many about in that colour and spec, rates staying low, "collectors" looking for cars, why not offer at a speculative price?

I am not disagreeing with you, just justifying what you know, at that price one has to assume Uwe must have test driven it at some point, or at least been present at the same trackday? [:D]

I think for that money I'd be down there with my sand paper trying to prove it had been "Alzen Yellow" at some point... ;-)

Hasn't China just opened the door to these old bangers. I saw that a low mileage 993 RS has just been shipped there in the last couple of weeks. So for LHD there could be a new market.

I don't know if the law has changed in China. Tried asking the same question to Chinese members of the 964rs FB group and no one would confirm.

No it hasn't yet. They still keep them in Hong Kong.

Rick, Alzen had his foreskin caught in the front bonnet where it remained pickled for twenty years (zwanazig jahre) and eaten by a cheese eating squirrel with homosexual parents living in the forest of Arden!!!!![:D]

In the absence of there being any cars for sale at this time I think he is applying the "kensington property" rule to see if the market has shifted - i.e. ask a daft price and see what happens.

The last actual sales I know of were of a much better car in white, and another "special wishes" one in yellow - both at substantially lower amounts.

Having said that, someone may buy it - there is plenty of capital sloshing about.

Also some privately held cars are being advertised as being "for sale" to assess their insurance worth - they are not actually for sale at all but have the ability to distort the market.

Just my 2c as someone who spent too much time last year looking at cars :)

Spot on Kevin ... I recall 10 years ago a Rubystone RS Carpet with near zero miles as new in a bubble 100,000 euro when the pound was higher probably £65,000 at the time. We all thought that was mad ..... who can price that car now an unuseable car now, destined Garage Queen forever ...... it seems all suck it and see[]
