R31 is considering organising a Scottish Tour next year, possibly in May or June. It will be based at an absolutely superb Inn on the West Coast just north of Skye. We will probably spend about 4 days at this hotel, but a longer stay would be available. As well as the usual motoring entertainment, on offer is whale and dolphin cruises, horse riding, pony trekking, sea fishing, mountain climbing, distillery visits, fine dining, sub-tropical gardens, the highest pass in the UK, breathtaking scenery, wild life and much much more.

The Tour will primarily be for R31 members, but of course will be open to the whole Club. Numbers will be kept to about 30. It might be a long way to go for members in the south, but it will be certainly well worth it just for the empty roads and spectacular scenery. I have recently stayed at this hotel and believe me, it is fabulous and cheap! It's worth going just for the food alone!

To gauge if this tour is worth organising can I ask anyone who is vaguely interested to drop a line to me, Derek Sharp at djs5@btinternet.com. No commitment is necessary, just your indication that you might possibly be interested.
