I have a few "˜annoying' scratches "" in fact 2 small groups of several close together "" 1 set rear end and 1 set top of bonnet. No idea how they got there originally but I am noticing them more and more it is the curse of a purist believe. Not looking for concourse but would like to diminish them if possible without spending lots of monet. My 993 is ocean blue. Scanned the forum and seems that Meguiars Scratch-X is they product of choice. I bought some and had a go last weekend. To be honest it made very little difference as far as I could tell although have to say I did not give it a long time or push too hard for fear of taking too much paint off. Should I be more diligent i.e. rub harder and longer to get better results or would forum recommend another route?

It really depends on how deep the scratches are. I've found that Scratch-X is excellent for light surface/clearcoat scratches that are not deep. Requires a fair bit of elbow grease though...

Try rubbing harder. It's taken light scratches out of several of my cars.
