A true craftsman, with incredible attention to detail "¦ but no taste whatsoever!

Just what I was thinking, but wasn't quite brave enough to say so! [:D]

yeah the ostrich leather is not my cuppa either I was more pointing to the skill and finish of the natural leathers and etching.

Well I could not beleive it when I found this for sale at almost £160k

I could not imagine a little old lady sitting at the foot of the Malvern hills in a factory with a needle sewing away at this[;)]

Take a look at the interior[X(]

Somewhere back between my 968 and my 964 I took a notion to have a 928 as well. Indeed I went to have a look at a couple. Very tempting, a lot of car for th money (both were about £7k as I recall) but both of them had "MONEY PIT" written in huge (if invisible) letters down the side. Tread very warily ... I suspect re-trimming (even in ostrich) would be the least of your worries if you bought a turkey! [;)]

Seen this?

Safer bet than a 928 [;)]

I'm with Tony on that.

If you do need interior retrimming work it's probably worth paying Willie Ramsay in Loanhead a visit. I was in Eastern Western a couple of weeks ago and they were finishing off the Robin Hood 356 restoration, which looks exceptional. Willlie did the interior for it and it's an amazing piece of work and according to Peter was quite keen price wise. Not sure he works with ostrich though if your hearts set on that [:D]

Peter also has a contact for steering wheel refurbs and the 'wheel he showed me finished in Nappa leather was really nice for £250.

Lovely colour Iris too, and I reckon one for the future in a colour pick on request....maybe in my 991 if I get one new, however I wanted something a bit roomier inside as the kids seats are quite big and also they want to have a bit more space so the 928 fits the bill for club days and stuff, as they aren't keen in the fast driving at the moment all the time however they have been know to tell me to use the other lane more often!! lol

I'm not bothered about upkeep, I just accept thats classic motoring tbh, however I don't want a pig in a poke 140k+ miler I was more into this white car as it's miles is only the same as my turbo. I might go and see it at the weekend as I'm free all weekend.

And for the record I don't and never will like Ostrich.

I just liked the fact this guy was also converting the seat from normal comfort to sports too......but thanks for the tip, good to know.

I have done two 911 full refurbishments before and used Baileys in Johnston who are amazing....we even made custom helmet pods for the back seat in the 964 RS replica. Their attention to detail si amazing and they did extras for free like leather seatbelt covers and plastic that was showing the just trimmed in leather like the sides of seats. The boys there once you know them a bit too just love cars and happily chat away and will do you plenty of favours when your cars in. The nice thing also is that you just bring them ideas and they make it happen, sketched ideas I often find are hard with people who just want to work to patterns but these boys will do anything....can't recommend them enough.
