Screeching Cayenne S 04 - can anyone help??!

noisy

New member
Can anyone help throw some light on this?

It started about 3 months ago and still not fixed... dealer doesnt know what it is??!

It started off with a quiet intermittent squeak or screeching sound, the best way to describe it is as ''hearing seagulls in the distance'' from somewhere around the front of the car.

Took it to the dealer, they said they had no idea what it was even though they heard the sound... So 3 months later and I now have the LOUDEST Sqwarking flock of seagulls coming from my car...

The noise is terrible - really loud and an almost constant noise. It doesnt really vary too much with speed / cornering or any thing i can notice, it is basically just constant.

HELP!! ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

i had a screech from my old turbo cayenne, does it sound like it might be from the passanger footwell area? If so there is a fan under there and that was faulty with mine

Squealing, screeching noises as you accelerate in a turbo engined car,but which reduce as you lift off or use a gentle throttle can be down to leaks in the boost pipe system, such as a small split in a rubber hose, loose clip or leaking intercooler or even missing exhaust /leaking exhaust gasket.

(corrected spelling mistake)

Hi Vitesse, the screeching doesnt lessen when the throttle is lifted - the intermittent sound remains constant...!??

Thankyou for your feedback, and I will put it on the list of options to tell the mech. when i go back to the dealer, but any other ideas?
