Screen cracked!

For some bizarre reason I have become the (not so pleased) owner of a cracked windscreen!.

Looks to have started with a stone chip around the centre of the passenger side wiper parked position (which I never noticed) and it is now a 300mm long crack towards the centre of the screen.

Being replaced on Thursday with a new screen - been throughout he whole top tint and new inner gasket discussion with them, so fingers crossed!.

Sone today by Autoglass mobile fitter - chap only does high end vehicles (he had done a Mercedes AMG and an Aston this morning). Very good, replaced all the rubbers and a new gasket - glass was identical to original and not aftermarket. Well pleased.

Glad to hear that Autoglass have actually fitted a genuine screen, I've had a couple of chips repaired by them and not been pleased with the result although they did do a good job of a Mazda screen I had done a few years ago. My son had a new screen in his Boxster S just before he drove to Le Mans this year and it was done at Leicester OPC cheaper than the insurers own preferred supplier, insurance co was happy to do it that way.
