Morning all

I have the beginning of some plate lift again on my front calipers. Would any of you kind chaps please advise me which screws to buy for refitting or maybe pop some in the post if you have surplus?

Many thanks

Stuart

You may spark a debate now Stuart. There are some who say use stainless and some who believe this may actually encourage corrosion and you should use standard. in my case I used standard and have had no issues. The calliper plates should clean up ok but make sure you isolate them with a good coat of paint. I can't remember the thread button 10mm length should be ok. Search calliper refurb and you may find my old thread on this.

I took one into my local tool store ( tower tools in dundonald) and got new set for less than a pound. If I remember correctly they were M6 cap heads. If you can get one out cleanly you'll get them from your local store with no problems at all.

PM me your address - I have plenty and am happy to send you some. (I'm on hols though, so they won't be sent for a week or so.)

Oli.
