SE Rennlisters meeting on 26th Nov

For any of you in the SE UK we have a 964 meeting organised for the 26th November in Worcester Park, Surrey and all are invited. We have one or two non-964 owners turning up too. The place is "The Worcester Park" pub in, not surprisingly, Worcester Park!! The full address is: The Worcester Park,
Park Terrace,
Worcester Park,
Surrey.
KT4 7JZ
Tel: 020 8337 1015 It's just off the A3 Kingston bypass and pretty easy to find. It has a large car park "" and it should be pretty clear for us. Raymond Turner, mine host, is a 964 cab owner and will be making coffee and bacon sarnies for the gathered crew. This will probably be our last meeting of 2006 so let's see if we can make it a good one. Depending on the weather there is a chance of a spirited hoon after the meeting. The plan is to meet at the pub for around 10:30am to 11:00 and take it from there. Hope to see as many as possible.

Regards

Dave

For anyone thinking of this but on the fence, it's a really informal do over coffee and bacon butties, with an optional blast around the countryside.

heartily recomended.

I guess ex 964 owners are welcome in their updated and improved versions....................hope to see you there

Richard,

You won't be alone - there are one or two other 993s coming that I know of. Look forward to seeing you.

Regards

Dave

hi guys, hope you can make it. although I say so myself, it's a great opportunity to meet up and put a face to a name, and the coffee and 'butties' arn't bad.

See ya there!!

I may decline on the optional blast -don't want a 4x4 and car on trailer to show you guys up!![;)]

Brian,
Could be you and me...

David (Caveman on Rennlist) is organising for us to meet at petrol garage on A40 Gerrards Cross.
I'll probably be there too.

nothing in the diary for the 26th Nov but it seems a bit of a long trek and we have a driveway to finish block paving so i think unfortunatly we are unlikely to attend.

Just a heads up for those coming down the M1 - it's closed from J11 down to J9 between 9pm Saturday night and 9am Sunday morning. It may be that that's late enough to be OK but I suspect there may be some congestion when it opens.

I think I might go to Aylesbury and take the A41 to the M25 and avoid the 40mph section on the M1 all together.

Regards

Dave

Dave -I had reason to use the A41 and A414 to get up to Leighton Buzzard today from the M25 -luvverly road and a pleasant alternative to the M1!! Barely any traffic on the 414....[;)]

Have fun!!

Rick,
What on earth happened on the way from the pub to Brands. You said you knew the way, so a few of us followed you to be taken down some very picturesque sideroads of Worcester Park...were you stopping off somewhere?

PS: Nice pics, thanks.

LOL yes, sorry about that. There was a 944S2 that I wanted to see that was on the way to the A3. This wasn't a big detour, just around the block in fact.

I didn't set out to be followed, it's just that I got waved through and it just sort of happened that you all followed me.

Hope everyone found the A3 OK ? [:(]
