Sealing tail lights.

You need to get it good and hot: the bodyshops use their heat lamps to soften it in order to get a good seal. Tighten the bolts on the lamp housing evenly, and carefully.
I got what I thought was a thin profile, but still have it leaking out of the housing. Easy to trim off, and better to be over-sealed, but there must be a correct size? []

That's the stuff. What I don't know is the right size to buy?

I think I bought 6mm, and it still oozes out!
I guess more is better than less, as unsealed rear lights suck in fumes and water...

Also you can get water inside the lights as well I drilled a small hole in the bottom about 2mm diameter (invisble) and that cured that problem. No idea how water gets in must be between the individual segments. I suppose after 20 odd years I would leak to!

A common problem of men of a certain age I understand but at 20 I think it deserves a trip to the quack [][][]
