Search facility?

Tipper

Guys, is there are search facility (I haven't been able to find it if there is!)? I don't really want to be asking questions that have been asnwered 1,000 times before if I can help it.
Cheers,
Tim.

Try the word "search" on the second line of text from the top of the page. You'll likely find that you have to fiddle with the Time Filter variable to get any results.

Ah, but that's only the first step of forum initiation. Thou now hast to get yonder search facility to work. It has been passed down from the forum elders that the path to learning requires that you only look into the recent past (or in other words, it's all a bit knackered and failing to limit the search time makes it go a bit doolally :ROFLMAO:).

I truly must apologise for my verbosity, my namesake is also a learned one who speaks the truth.

Jeez, this is the sh*te I type after two pints, this could be a fun evening!

You need to set the time limit to longer than it's default, but not so long that the system runs out of coal trying to get the difference engine running without overheating. [&o]

Being serious, it has improved so longer times like 3 or 6 months don't seem to cause a problem. To be honest it's not a bad thing to ask the question, as there are often lurkers who might appreciate a topic being discussed regardless of the fact that we oldies have been through it many times before.

have one on me Pete[8D]

I agree with Paul, I see no harm with people asking the same old questions, if nothing else it keeps us all on our toes, and may in fact bring up something new.

Ah, I did wonder, I noticed I hadn't had so many problems using it recently.

Me too, but maybe we're not quite ready for another debate about whether it's spelt Sills or Cills yet [;)]

I'm smiling at the replies: the initiation on SELOC (Lotus forum) usually takes the fform of several pages of flaming!
Found what I wanted to to anyway.
