Seat Coat hook blanks

Hi, I am looking for help in how to remove the seat hook crested blanks from the rear of 996 cab. seats so I can fit coat hooks please? I thought they would just pop off with a little gentle persuasion to no avail. Is there a knack in doing so?
Thanks

For those who might be interested I persisted and eventually got the blank off. A fair bit off brute force and ignorance was required before the nib at the bottom cracked and I was able to screw off the blank. It is secured by a screw and it would appear the only way to take a blank off properly would be to remove the seat covering in its entirety from the headrest! Any way I glued the coat hook which I had sourced from Design 911(two supplied) in position, very neat with my own supplied grommet to cover screw hole, and can now hang up my jacket, I am leaving the blank in place on the passenger seat for the time being!
I have to say I was suprised I got no replies to this question despite plenty of hits!

I didn't see this until now - didn't know how to do it though [;)]

I assume there is a blank because a hook would be a nasty thing for a rear-seat passenger to hit in an accident?
Is the hook only there on Boxsters then?

Hi Mark
I don't think so. I am fairly sure I have seen 996's specced with coat hooks. The hook is effectively flat so I do not think it would pose a danger particularly if you are wearing the seat belt!
Thanks for the input

Mine has got hooks fitted to the seat backs.

It's got the memory seat option but I don't suppose that makes a difference.

I just presumed they where a standard fit.

I had no problesm getting the hooks off. I replaced mine with crested blanks.
