Seat fabric needed

Hi, I have a 1988 red 944S with beige striped seat fabric. The drivers seat has become threadbare, not through loads of miles, but through twisting in the seat from the previous owner!
I am having major difficulty in sourcing a new seat or some fabric as I do not want to change the whole interior. Can anyone help me with a contact? Cheers! See pic for problem.

The only people I know of are Southbound (their advert is in PP). They will sell you a complete seat base "skin" to replace your existing.

Howard, I am afraid you may struggle [:(]

I believe that pattern is known as Linen pinstripe (it's what I have in my S2). I've called Southbound a few times over the years and he has never had any. However he did manage to source a roll last year some time, but by the time I heard he had already used it all [8|]

One thing to know is that because of it's rareness you may find that leather is actualy cheaper, so if you want to go Linen leather....... [&:] He is always booked many weeks in advance, but does sell the covers as a kit for a local upholsterer to fit for you.

(You may be able to sell patches of your linen pinstripe on Ebay or in magazines - I'll have a foot off you for a start [:D] )

Hi,

Don't know if it helps, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that the Porsche brown pinstripe interior is very similar to a Mercedes fabric?

Can't tell you any more, but am sure it was an article in a 911 & Porsche World mag.
