Seat heaters don't work after battery died

While cleaning the car with all apertures open and the radio going, the battery died. Ho, and indeed, hum. Lots of beeps and messages via the computer before I realised what had happened. After recharging the battery and starting up to check all was ok, everything worked except both seat heaters. I can't find specific fuses for the seat heaters on the diagram in the fusebox, and the electric seat recline works ok so I guess they're not fused through that. I can't think why they should have failed together (they weren't on at the point of battery death). Is this a PC computer reset job, like my interior lights (which don't come on with unlocking or door opening)?

I've read another thread with similar issues, it was all sorted by a recoding of the electrical system.. via the OPC

Usually sorted by the OPC by performing a 'Vehicle Handover' procedure using the PIWIS.

Could it be that there is an thermal cut out that stops the heaters working above a set temperature ?

If you are trying to run the heaters on a warm day when the seats are already warm it may be that they wont heat ?

My seat heaters seem to cycle on and off in the winter rather than cooking one's bum to well done.

Even if there were a thermal cut out, the seats would still turn on and then cycle with the thermostat, just like your central heating - it's on even when it's not heating.

No, it was a side effect of the battery dying. OPC West Sussex sorted it in 5 minutes with a 'handover check' (all done by laptop), as suggested by Nick. Also sorted out the interior light timings.
