Just seen my seats back from the so called trimmers .... Probably the worst bit of work I have seen by a so called tradesman. Needless to say the "trimmers" seemed to be closed until New Year.

So after some searching on the net just bought a pair of these, wish I knew these were around before ..... someone tell me they are the correct ones please, I have the M003 Clubsport Option seats ... which are Recaro SPG Profi equivalent?

Have you tried going to Recaro direct?

You can probably get the parts directly from them? I've found them a great company to deal with.

I hate to say it after the event, but southbound are the estabilished experts on this, but are reasuringly expensive. They quoted me ÂŁ500 per seat for an OE retrim, which is close to the price of a new seat!

You'll find this thread usefull too!

Had a long chat with Southbound, quoted my PET part number for my seat, explained, I wanted them as an original 964RS M003 Clubsport FiA N-gt Carrera ....... Well he did'nt seem to know them .... the conversation was on the basis "are they like" .... So I thought then a standard plain retrim on black nomex, not too difficult you would think having provided the material ..... [X(]

I tried to locate the head and side trim from Recaro but proved difficult on their site, found it with these guys, seems the way forward now ... now to get a refund[&o]

Thanks Jason for confirmation.

They dont list it on the site as you say, but figured you could request it from. suprised for southbound, they claimed to know what to do when they quoted me. Oh well looks like you've got a solution now.

I spoke to Southbound last year, they quoted me ÂŁ185 each for replacement covers for the Cup/NGT seats (i.e. Recaro SPG) with the embroidered Porsche crest, and a bit more for the cushions as well.

It would appear the above appears a small revelation and worth all of you noting the link, it appears you can by the whole kit ready made to apply yourself!

Haven't we done this once?

I remember posting the capital seating link to 964 NGT seat kits months back before you decided home made was best!

If I am correct, the only thing you can't get without Southbounds help, is the Porsche embroidered badge.

Des, how important is this for you ?

I'd suggest it's quite important for N-GT original replacements ... and they do wear ... cigarette burn ... tear ....

Good skills Ian [;)]

Sorry Paul .... having the attention span of a goldfish I missed this[:(]

I sometimes lose concentration by Druids and then the Big Bad Red Truck turns up!

MUST ADD SOUTHBOUND DID NOT DO THE RETRIM

Ian, that price makes it palatable. I might even be tempted to talk to them again. As Chris says, seats are worn, and it lets the car down. Problem is you dont see it when driving, so tend to forget and spend money on suspension, tyres etc......

That makes sense at that price .... I would guess they buy the same kit and fit it with an embroidered Porsche crest.

Any point in making a group purchase whilst they are still available ?

Better price ?

I can think of a few cars that would benefit ....

Pair of Corbeaus with seat mounts and Porsche crest available shortly....[;)]

Plus pr 1999 Schroth 6 point harnesses....
