Seat rennovation

Whilst searching for a car it is now quite obvious that the seats can be in a very poor condition - large cracks in the leather especially on the bolsters and especially noticeable on the light grey interiors. Of course, I'm not surprised to find this in a 15+ year old car.

I've seen an article about the leather being replaced on the bolsters, the remaining leather cleaned and then re-connelized. Has anyone done this recently and if so, how much am I looking at to get both seats done? Recommendations of where to have them done woud also be welcome.

It would be a shame to dismiss a good, sound car just because of tatty seats but obviously I need to factor in what the work is going to cost.

Thanks

Great responses guys[:)]

Black80XSA (aka percymon [;)]), thanks for the Warrington rennovation link which would make things very easy for me.

Dave, thanks for the link to Kevin's site which is indeed the article I'd seen.

Kevin, did you get them done so recent that those prices won't be far off the mark? If so, less than £500 extra spending sounds a good reason not to dismiss a 964 just because the seats are tatty. And I hope the smell's now gone![8D]

Steve, they must have been done about 3 1/2 years ago now, it was about 420 for the side bolsters on the drivers seats and connolising, so I reckon it could get to £500, but if they are not too busy a good old haggle would do.....
Smell is now long gone, but it smelt bad for a while, really acrid,.........The only caveat is you do have to take care of the finish, I've done about 14k in them, and I am fussy, if you do like the odd bit of studded belt ware, they may not hold up so well. Mine still look ok, just ask Dave, or anyone else who knows me..

Another vote for the Warrington outfit. The PO of my car had my light grey seats done there and they still look like the after picture posted above, except my piping is blue.
