seat stuck in down position problem

Had passenger seat out to get some cavity wax into inner sill area via bungs , when I put it back in tested before bolting in and both of the seat cushion motors went down and stuck in the down position and won't raise up.Seat is out and is getting power to the motors and the switches are working ok - both up and down positions. So the lifters must have got jammed ,any ideas how to release without stripping everything out of the mechanism ?
Probably first time the seat has been right down in its adjustment.

Check the seat multi plug is not back to front. I'm sure it fits on back to front IIRC and could cause your issue.

the seat is out and I have powered it directly from a battery. The motors do jerk when switched so I think it is a mechanical jamming issue with the drive cables or lifters themselves.I will try tomorrow and back the lifters off using tools and see if I can free them.

Thanks

Nick
