Seat value advice

Morning all and a merry Christmas all round. Will be looking to move my seats in the new year and have an interested party already. Does anybody have a good steer on how much I should be asking? They are the optional Sports seats, 4-way electric in linen leather. The rear seat and front passenger are pretty much mint. The drivers seats has a tear on the upper side bolster (width of a 2p piece and a couple of mm thick) and a scratch above it which is a similar size but not a tear. Also, the front electric tilt mechanism is not working (haven't really looked into why). Using the search function I can see that a bolster repair/replacement can cost about £80. So what do you think the lot is worth? Thanks, Ben.

I got £550 as I recall for my similar set, though my driver's seat was still pretty good and certainly not holed, and the height motors all worked.

Ah but then that was in the good ol' days [;)]

Condition is key. You can pay upwards of £500 per seat to have your originals refurbished (I seem to recall Fen's were). If your seats are in top nick then they could, for arguments sake, be worth close on the price of a refurbishment.

At the end of the day things are only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Following a similar route as Ben I may well have a pair of linen logo sports seats going if anyone is interested. Reasonable condition - no holes and drivers motors work. Could look good after a cleaning.

Last year I tried to sell a set of these for a mate, they had no holes or rips but did need a good clean.

I could not sell them for £250 (full set including carpet and door cards) so he let them go to a trader for £100.

I did mention this to a member on here when I noticed holes in his seats. I told him I would try to get them even cheaper for him but he declined and commented that he would get some from a dealer......
I think it must have been my Merseyside accent but I think he thought they were stolen...........I wonder how much he paid for the very same seats[:D]

I'll add my name to the list of interested parties.

Drop me a pm if you haven't sold yet.

Did you dispose of the seats? If not I'd be interested - I've a number of friends around the Grantham area if you need rid of them quickly....

Drop me a note to colin.dougan@bt.com if you're interested.
