When driving in a LHD 911 I have always thought to myself 'is this fabled LHD driving position really better?' (better take cover before the LHD brigade are alerted []).

I'm 6'2" and medium build and I can do a long journey without so much as a twinge. The only problem I had was the ability to heel and toe, due to the offset pedal arrangement, but I eventually got used to that too. I have the hard back sports seats which are really good, although they do weigh a bit and will be the first thing to go when the car goes on a diet.
If you look at the mountings for the seats, you will find there are a couple of positions that the subframe can take. This allows for a slight change in legroom, if that's a problem for you.
Don't let the quirky driving position put you off what has to be one of the most phenomenal cars ever made.

I have to say that I first sat in a RHD 964 long after I bought my own LHD car and I couldn't believe how strange it felt!! The pedal offset is completely unique to the RHD cars - the LHD position is MUCH better. Unless you spend lots of time using barriered car parks the LHD is no major inconvenience although passing on narrow roads can be a little time consuming but, on the whole, I'd think twice about buying a RHD 964/993 in the future.
