Seats and shockers

I'm wanting to replace my (2005 2.7 tip) 987 drivers seat with something better. I don't want to spend spectacular sums, don't need heating, and would like opinions as to what's good and what's not. Also, is there anywhere in the Glasgow area to see a range of seats or do I have to nosey around Knockhill some day?

Next up, shockers, I believe the back end of my car is missing (at least) one, it's crashing about badly on the dodgy roads we have here, so any recommendations? Even if it's not the shock - I have heard say they don't often break - I want to replace them as they're now 5 years old.

I could go on, but my budget won't allow it just yet!

What seat have you got at the moment?
There was a range of choices for the 987.

Think you need to find out what is wrong at the back before splurging out on new bits...

Mark, thanks for your input.

Seats are leather with hardback, heated, electric back adjust, manual fore/aft. Airbags all over the place.
Thought that was more or less standard.

Three reasons for changing -
1) I've found I'm allergic to the leather! I need alcantara or cloth
2) I used a Challenge Stradale and the seats were awesome, can't afford these but similar (i.e. cheaper) would be good
3) Want to chuck the original and keep till I sell.

As far as the back end of the car goes, I'm playing with tyre pressures but don't think that's the problem.
As you know, you drive these things and get a lot of communication through the seat of the pants and it just feels odd.
It's going for a service shortly so I will have it assessed by someone else's backside.
