I have standard seats in my 72S, but feel as though I am sat on them rather than in them. I don't want to spend a fortune on original recaros and have them re trimmed in the same blue/green vinyl...any ideas. I had thought about replacing the drivers seat only. Thanks, Richard.

if its comfort you are after rather than originality why not fit a 944 seat ? the sports version is cheap and very comfortable and you can keep and re-fit your 911 seat if you sell.

There are a couple of replica Recaro sports seats on the market. These ones are made by Deser and imported by Early 911.

I think it depends on the quality and originality of your '72 2.4S.

Although the modern repro seats are very good, if you want the correct seats then you'll need to find some recarros and get them restored and retrimmed to match the original interior. Won't be cheap, but might be the better investment.
