Seats

My seats are in need of a retrim, but the cost from Porsche for the black Porsche Logo cloth alone is £300! So I'm looking for an alternative source; any suggestions? I would also be interested in replacement seats but they would need to be the same spec.

Tried Southbound but they don't have any of this cloth. [>:]

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I've tried quite a few breakers and the nearest I got was a rather manky pair sitting in a wreck of an early 944. If they are going to be the 924-shape seat then they need to be the porsche logo ones, this is my problem - other patterns are out there in some numbers.

Have seen an advert for some nice plain black seats from a 968 Sport for less than Porsche want for 2m of cloth, so may end up doing that and getting the rear retrimmed to match at a later date.

Thanks Nouveau for the link to worlduph.com - very comprehensive. I have saved that in my Bookmarks for future reference but it doesn't look like they can help me in this instance.

Others may be interested in these leather refurb kits I came across - http://www.928leathershop.com/Porsche_Seat_Reupholstery_Service_and_Kits.html

Dan..(?)
Before I bought the 924S..I looked at many 944's..all, oddly enough..had Interior issues...I wrote to many sites (about 10) asking for info about Cloth..and the site I posted was the only site to reply...I, too kept it for future use.
It's surprising How many Sites do not reply to Questions!
There was one site That sold the Cloth ..But, I cannot remember it....,. they are out there!
Good luck!

If you was looking for a decent trimmer I have used a guy called Pete from Shirley called Shirley Car Care, hes a one man band and very reasonable.

Porsch Apart usually have something in stock. Simon Butterworth is the guy who owns the place. All their stuff is removed from their cars and stored so not getting p**s wet through in a breaker's yard.
Alternative is to find a trimmer (as previously mentioned by cococola). I got my 924S seats retrimmed years ago, not in genuine Porsche cloth but I had to tell people it wasn't.

Cheers,
