Hello, I would like to know what is expected with the second service of my 718 Boxster S.
I got the Porsche warranty.
In the real it is my first service because I bought the car last July.
Perhaps someone knows how much will it be?
I live in Bucks. Do you suggest any Porsche Center?
Thanks for your answers!

See attached 981 info. for a guide.

Check out a few dealers and ask if they operate the Porsche Fixed Price Service Menu, which can save you a few pounds

Hi Piero,

To find out exactly what’s carried out in the second (4-year/40,000 mile service) just look in your Guarantee and Maintenance booklet which should have been supplied with the car.

As Andrew says it’s worth phoning around different Centres for a price, and be sure that they include the necessary "extras” like plugs and a brake fluid change.

Had this last year with my 981; you will definitely benefit from some due diligence both on content and price. The fixed price scheme has officially expired and was not supported by all OPCs but will give a guide on what to pay. Extras on the 981 were plugs, air filters and a belt check - I had the latter changed as most of the work required was done in the check anyway. Brake fluid change also advisable. I contacted the 4 or 5 relatively local OPCs with a list of what I wanted and asked for prices - majority were sensible and came back quickly with prices that were quite similar but there were some bonkers outliers so buyer beware. I've aligned my warranty timing to coincide with the service interval so I can negotiate everything together. The maintenance section in your manual will describe what is required for the 718 - it does need a careful study if the 981 version is anything to go by though.

Thanks David, shame that ... November 2019 I saved £300 on the `floating and all in` price for a six year on a 981 Cayman S
