Seeking a 987.2 CS manual

Mine will be going up for sale in the next 1-2 wks after I’ve taken off my private plates and refitted the original ones, now that I’ve received formal notification from Porsche HQ of my GTS4.0 order being processed to ‘stage 1’.

a spec for her can be found here:

Currently on 72k miles, but a very ‘tight’ feeling car and not remotely ‘leggy’ or showing her age - very well cared for In my 5yrs of ‘custodianship’ 😉

Thanks. Probably too many miles for me. I'll be keeping long term and do 10-15k miles a year, so at that starting mileage it would be very high miles rather quickly. If I was only doing a few thousand a year etc, I'd be less worried about the starting mileage.

Understood and I was in a similar position when I bought her 5yrs ago at 41k miles, I looked for the lowest mileage example I could find at the budget I had then.

aside from all the usual (more age related) items that a 10+ yr old 987 ‘typically’ needs (eg coolant hoses and pipes, PSE exhaust valves, water pump, window regulators) I’ve found the car to be extremely mechanically robust and if I were in the market for a 987 again I’d be less concerned with mileage and more interested in fully documented servicing and maintenance for a sense of how well cared for the car has been. But as you say, you’ll be doing high annual miles, so a lower start point is clearly preferable.

Whilst there are still low-mileage examples of 987s out there to be had (depending on the spec you’re after), the youngest example you’ll get is at least 10yrs old now.

Good luck with your search, you may also find this thread on the Cayman OC helpful in your quest - there’s a few guys constantly posting ‘soup of the day’ 987s on it 🙂
